There was life before Crystal Logic! The masters and inventors of the “Epic Metal” subgenre Manilla Road are known worldwide for their works such as Open The Gates, The Deluge or the previously mentioned LP/CD (released as a re-issue by Golden Core) and are loved not only by fans, but also by fans also paid homage by well-known musicians and bands. Until 1983 they were a local band in tranquil Wichita, Kansas and released the first two LPs “Invasion” and “Metal” independently on the band's own label Roadster Records. The original vinyls are sought-after rarities today and have never been adequately released on CD.
