Overview: Molex MX150 Sealed Connector System features pre-assembled, fully-submersible MX150 high-performance connectors with a reduced package size. Molex MX150 Sealed Connectors are ideal for SAE- and ISO-style wire in single- and dual-row configurations up to 22.0A supporting both signal and power applications for on-engine automotive to off-road construction equipment applications.    Based on the 1.50mm ISO blade-type terminal system, the MX150 Connector System consists of matte- and cable-sealed connectors, receptacles and terminals. Available in tin, gold or silver contact finishes, the MX150 system provides cost savings by eliminating the need to purchase, handle and crimp individual wire seals. The single silicone-based seal in the plug and receptacle has individual wire openings and a seal cap to protect, securely retain, and provide strain relief. Integral terminal position assurance (TPA) and optional connector position assurance (CPA) components eliminate time-consuming and costly assembly operations. Many of these products employ ring-seal technology to meet IP6K7 and IP6K9K sealing requirements.

What's Cross-Link: (GXL Wire)

Cross Link Wire is a bit different, mostly in the insulation. "Cross-link" refers to the chemistry of the insulation. Cross-linkage is where many long-chain molecules attach to each other and form a stronger bond, resulting in insulation that is more closely bonded with the wire than PVC. These bonds result in more durable wire that is better suited for extreme conditions over GPT wire. For example, cross-link can generally take a higher current and is rated for temperatures between -40 degrees and 257 degrees Fahrenheit. It's also more resistant to grease, solvents, and other common chemicals fleet vehicles are exposed to.

For this reason, cross-link is commonly used in heavy-duty applications where you need wire that can take a beating, such as fuse blocks inside engine compartments, and in electrical systems more likely to be exposed to open air and the elements. This ruggedness is one reason for the higher cost associated with cross-link.
