<p>Richards Double Reeds have been made by Richard Rath for over thirty years. He began making reeds while studying with Dr. William T. Gower ( Gower Reeds ) and subsequently began making the Richards Reed.</p>

<p>As an active educator and performer, Mr. Rath is able to reflect the current trends of performance and instrument design, in the making of the Richards Reeds.</p>

	<li>Hand Made -&nbsp;Each reed is&nbsp; gouged, shaped and profiled in our shop to our exacting specifications. &nbsp;</li>
	<li>Shape -&nbsp;The shape is designed to produce a well centered tone and stable pitch.</li>
	<li>A - 440 -&nbsp;Each reed is made to play in tune on a&nbsp; #2 bocal.</li>
	<li>Responsive -&nbsp;Richards Reeds are made to have a more even response throughout the full range of the instrument.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Finest materials -&nbsp;Only select tube cane is used in Richards Reeds.</li>
