Ultra-compact fast prime w/ G series lens quality and performance

The high-quality G Lens optical design incorporates two aspherical lens elements for sharp detail and one ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element that reduces chromatic aberration for outstanding corner-to-corner resolution. In addition, the state-of-the-art optical design takes maximum advantage of the short flange back, unique to mirrorless cameras, to realize stunning compactness at 68mm diameter x 45mm and a weight of only 174g. Mobility is a key feature, preserving the compactness of the overall E-mount system whether shooting with a full-frame or APS-C body or shooting either still images or movie.

Beautiful natural bokeh

The F2.5 max aperture is ideal for low-light situations for maximum light gathering capability while also providing a shallow depth of field. Beautiful natural bokeh expected from a G Lens is delivered with minimal spherical aberration and provision of a 7-blade circular aperture for round defocused light sources.

Corner-to-corner sharpness

High image quality is realized by the inclusion of two aspherical lens elements compensate for various aberrations, delivering high resolution performance from corner to corner of the image, even from the widest aperture with shallow depth of field.

Reduced chromatic aberration

The FE 50mm F2.5 G incorporates an ED glass element to suppress chromatic aberration and effectively reduces color fringing that is more likely to occur in the image periphery, leaving precisely rendered edges with no fringing or unnatural coloration, while significantly reducing flare and ghosting.

7-blade circular aperture

While conventional aperture blades have flat sides that create unappealing, polygonal-shaped defocused points of light, the FE 50mm F2.5 G incorporates a 7-blade circular aperture mechanism to maximizes the beauty of this large-aperture prime-lens. The wide f2.5 aperture and circular aperture blades contribute to impressive images in which the subject stands out against a smoothly defocused foreground and background, as well as perfectly round points of defocused light. 

Two Linear motors for fast, precise autofocus tracking

Taking full advantage of the continuing rapid advances in the speed and performance of newer camera bodies, two linear motors are used in the FE 50mm F2.5 G lens to deliver fast, precise AF (autofocus) with excellent tracking performance. Tracking is maintained despite instantaneous changes in subject motion, making the lens ideal for situations require tracking a moving subject.

Natural, linear manual focus response

Linear Response MF (manual focus) ensures that the focus ring responds directly and linearly to subtle control when focusing manually. Focus ring rotation translates directly to a corresponding change in focus, so control feels immediate and precise in both still and movie modes.

Close-ups in a standard field of view

Get a unique perspective through close-up, wide angle shooting. The standard 50mm angle of view is useful in applications from snap shots to movie shooting. The FE 50mm F2.5 G features an impressive minimum focus distance of 14.78” (0.35m) (AF) / 12.2” (0.31m) (MF) and maximum magnification of 0.18x (AF) / 0.21x (MF). With the wide F2.5 max. aperture, you can also shoot close-ups with beautiful blurred background bokeh.

The ultra-compact FE 50mm F2.5 G lens measures 68mm diameter x 45mm and weighs in at only 174g. This makes it ideal for both APS-C as well as full-frame camera users. Its ultra-compact size and light weight balances well on smaller APS-C format bodies, providing a very useful mid to telephoto focal length of 75mm (full- frame format equivalent). Instant auto/manual focus selection via AF/MF switch

Instantly and quickly switch between auto and manual focus via an AF/MF switch on the side of the lens. This makes operation faster and easier as you let the camera and lens focus for you or decide to take control and manually focus on the precise point you choose.

Manual aperture ring w/ selectable on/off click for stills or movie

A responsive manual aperture ring offers positive action that will satisfy photographers and moviemakers alike. The aperture ring click stops can be switched on or off as required. “Off” is the preferred setting for moviemaking since it results in the least aperture operation noise. When “On” the ring provides tactile feedback that is useful when shooting stills.

Programmable focus-hold button for multiple custom functions

The focus hold button not only performs the traditional function to lock focus when recomposing, but can be customized to a number of other functions depending on your needs. In addition to Focus Hold, these custom functions include: Eye AF, AF On, Aperture Preview, Shot Result Preview or Bright Monitoring.

• Return Policy
  You may return merchandise purchased from Buydig for a refund or a replacement, provided that the procedures and requirements referred to in our return policy are followed. All product returns require a return authorization number (RA). A RA number must be issued within 30 calendar days after the date of purchase; it will be valid for 14 calendar days after it is issued.
  
  Removal or alteration of a product's upc number, serial number or upc/serial number sticker will automatically void your Buydig Return Policy. Products that are returned to Buydig with a missing, damaged or altered serial number will be refused RMA service and returned to you.
  
• Refunds
  Refunds are applied to the payment method used at the time of purchase 2-5 days after receipt of the returned merchandise.
  
• Exchanges
  If you purchased a product from Buydig that you wish to exchange for an alternative, you can return the item for a refund and simply place a new order for the item you desire. We do not apply a refund credit to your new purchase
  
• Defective Item
  An item that was discovered to be defective upon receipt can be replaced with the same model only. You may also return a defective item for a refund.
  
• Damaged Items
  All Packages are inspected for damage before they ship from our warehouse. If your package has been damaged in transit, please contact us immediately. We must be informed of all shipping related claims within 1 business day after the date of receipt. We do not issue refunds for returns of damaged merchandise. An item that was discovered damaged upon receipt will be replaced with the same model only.
  
• International Customers
  Please be advised that our products are intended for a US market. If it is to be used outside of the US, please check in advance that it will work. Returns on international orders require the customer pay the return shipping.
  

If an item you received is defective, we will certainly replace the item with a new one. We will ship the replacement product to you at our cost, and use every good measure to ensure that the replacement order is processed quickly.

• Replacement
  We will send a product replacement after the authorized return has completed our receiving/inspection process. The replacement will ship within four business days following our receipt of your return. Please allow additional processing time after Holidays. Although it is our goal to ship a replacement as quickly as possible, we do not send replacements before we receive and inspect the returned merchandise.
  
  To receive a replacement more quickly, you may place a new order for the same item, and we will issue a refund for the full value of the returned product upon completion of our return process.
  
• Returning Items
  If you do not have the return form, we will provide it together with your RA number. Please fill in the requested information on our product return form, and carefully follow the instructions for return.
  
  All returned merchandise must be in original condition, and must include the original factory box (UPC bar codes and serial numbers must be intact) and factory packaging (e.g. foam, plastic, wrappings, etc.), peripherals (e.g. battery, charger, cords, straps, etc.), included warranty cards (without markings), and all instruction booklets and paperwork. The RA number or any other inscriptions must not be written or printed on the product box or packaging. We will not process the return if any of these conditions are not followed.
  
  Retuned merchandise that is lost or damaged during transit is solely the shipper's responsibility. It is important save the tracking information and to properly insure all merchandise being returned to Buydig.
  
• Television Returns
  Buyers Remorse for TVs in Brand New condition:
  If you are not 100% satisfied with your TV purchase, you may return it within 30 days from delivery for a full refund, less return shipping fees. Please note that a 15% restocking fee may apply. All returned TVs must be in their original box and include all packing material, manuals, and accessories.
  
  Damages: Were here to help!
  For Common Deliveries (FedEx, UPS):
  Please inspect the TV and report any damages (e.g. cracked screen, scratches, dents, etc.) within 2 days by contacting us at 1.800.617.4686
  For Special Handling/Freight deliveries:
  Please open and inspect the TV prior to signing for it. If the TV is cracked or damaged, please refuse delivery and contact us immediately at 1.800.617.4686.
  
  Please note damage claims will be denied for the following:
  TVs with over 60 minutes of recorded usage
  TVs that have been moved from the original delivery address
  
  All damage claims must be made within two (2) days of delivery. We will issue a refund and cover all shipping costs.
  
  
• International Returns
  The customer is responsible for paying for return shipping should they decide to return the product.
  
• Return Exception
  Every item we sell is BRAND NEW and under manufacturer's warranty, unless clearly stated otherwise. Although we have a very flexible return policy on most of the items we sell, due to manufacturer restrictions, there are certain items on which we cannot accept returns. The manufacturer will generally repair or replace the item so long as it is under warranty.
