This is a nifty, uncommon cover(w/some stains/toning on either side, and creases here and there) sent on May 21, 1941(CDS cancel is complete, but somewhat light/faded and smudged)from Dairen, Manchuria, China(then occupied by the Japanese), to a an acquaintance at a school in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan! The sender was actually a young, Imperial Japanese Army Reservist who had been sent to Manchuria! When necessary, he was expected to fight with the Imperial Japanese/Manchukuoan Army to keep Manchuria in the hands of the Japanese. Otherwise, his fellow reservists/colonists were to live outside of any kind of barracks, and labor in whatever job they were qualified for, especially in the agriculture and mining industries! Outside of some gum residue/toning around its perfs, and creases around its top, left corner, the green, 4-Sen, Japanese issue is in good condition. Noted imperfections aside, this remains an intriguing piece of Japanese military, and Manchukuoan postal history!
