This relatively uncommon, free-franked, GUNJIYUBIN(Japanese cachet in red ink) cover(quite clean, but with a slightly reduce envelope, jagged top(due to the way in which it was opened), and some creases) was sent by a Japanese infantryman from Manchuria, China(then occupied by the Japanese), to Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, on June 26, 1905! The Russo-Japan War would not end for about another 3 months! The CDS from the Imperial Japanese Army Liaotung Commissariat, Field P.O. 19(?) is unfortunately a bit hard to make out for sure, but any mail from the Liaotung Commissariat is still sought after. The mail arrived in Ishikawa on July 6, 1905, and received a pretty neat CDS that is somewhat light/faded in places. Noted imperfections aside, this remains a nifty piece of Japanese military, and Chinese, postal history!
