This relatively uncommon, free-franked, GUNJIYUBIN(Japanese cachet in red ink) cover(w/multi-page letters; pretty clean, but with a slightly reduce envelope, jagged top(due to the way in which it was opened), and some creases) was sent by a Japanese infantryman from Manchuria, China(then occupied by the Japanese), to Nagano Prefecture, Japan, on June 24, 1905! The Russo-Japan War would not end for about another 3 months! The CDS from the Imperial Japanese Army Liaotung Commissariat, Field P.O. 3(?) is unfortunately rather hard to make out for sure, but any mail from the Liaotung Commissariat is still sought after. The mail arrived in Nagano on July 2, 1905, and received a pretty neat CDS that is somewhat light/faded in places. Noted imperfections aside, this remains a nifty piece of Japanese military, and Chinese, postal history!
