This relatively uncommon, free-franked, GUNJIYUBIN(Japanese cachet in red ink) cover(quite clean, but with a shortened envelope, a jagged top(due to the way in which it was opened), and some creases) was sent by a Japanese infantryman from Heianhoku-do(Prefecture), Korea(then occupied by the Japanese), to Sendai City, Japan, on May 8, 1906! The Russo-Japan War had ended about 8 months prior! The CDS from the Japanese P.O. in Heianhoku-do is admittedly light/faded. The mail arrived in Sendai on May 13, 1906, and received a pretty nice CDS. Noted imperfections aside, this remains a nifty piece of Korean and Japanese military postal history!
