This nifty, patriotic post card was sent on January 1, 1936from a Japanese sailor serving aboard the Myoko-class, heavy cruiser, H.I.J.M. Nachi! It was docked at Kure, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, at the time of writing.

To continue, outside of a little bit of gum residue around it, the blue, 1.5-Sen Japanese definitive, is in very fine condition! The slogan, machine cancel for New Year's from the Kure P.O. is superb!

Lastly, as for the post card, itself, it's in very good-fine condition. It's pretty clean, and has very little wear and tear around its edges. Noted imperfections aside, this remains a neat piece of Imperial Japanese Naval postal history connected to the H.I.J.M. Nachi!
