Each coin contains one-half troy ounce of 24-karat gold, symbolic of the coin's denomination, and is struck with a business strike finish.
Coin Design
Obverse: Features a a full-length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left. Inscriptions are LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 2016
Reverse: Features an American eagle rising from a mountaintop perch. Inscriptions are UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, AU 24K, 1/2 oz., and HALF DOLLAR.
