The Abyssinians are a Jamaican roots reggae group, famous for their close harmonies and promotion of the Rastafari movement in their lyrics. Their debut Satta Massagana (branded here as Forward On To Zion) was released in 1976 and is widely considered The Abyssinians' crowning achievement - a classic roots reggae album. The Abyssinians have released many versions of it over the years, with this one on their own label, Clinch Records, seeing release on CD in Jamaica in 1998.

*As with many reggae recordings released independently in Africa, the packaging is minimal and sparse and somewhat lacklustre, but that is how the band wanted it to be, it would appear.
