I pulled this disc brake caliper from a 2000s mountain bike, where it was working properly. I believe it can be used for the front or rear of the bike, but you may need additional mounting brackets for some applications. It was mounted to the front (fork mount). I believe the pads are original, still seem to work ok but may need to be replaced.
