These brakes came from an early/mid '80s mountain bike and worked well when they were on the bike. The pads are original, and pretty grimy and dry. They are still holding together okay, but should be replaced for any serious riding. There is some surface rust in a few places but nothing that affects the function. There is grime from off road riding in the crevices, they could use a cleaning.
