The watch is in excellent condition cosmetically and running. Seconds and minute counter returning quickly to 12 position

Movement marked Patent 4900. Below is some information respecting this Patent. Stunning intricate looking movement.

Ferdinand Bourquin, founded in 1841, subsequently owned by several generations of the same family including Julien Bourquin, clwas a watch movement manufacturer. In 1892 this company was granted Swiss patent 4900 for a counter mechanism for chronographs, which was sold in 1895 to Alfred Lugrin.

I would imagine this watch is post 1895 and attributable to Alfred Lugrin.

A fairly rare and collectible piece.
