Audiophile, Music Lover, and Musician      are apt ways describing this loved person who passed away. His record collection, including classical (in the most broad sense), opera, some jazz and popular, was meticulously cared for. The best turntables, styluses, and speakers were always used and brought current, as necessary. The records received attention (they were cleaned prior to and after each playing) that I thought was overdoing it at the time…now I know better, they were kept in beautiful shape…for their next owner, too.

A Hard-to-Find Early Mercury pressing of Rafael Kubelik leading the Chicago Symphony Orchestra performing Pictures At An Exhibition. This album pressed in 1952 with MF12/MF12 stampers was engineered by Bob Fine and George Piros. Recorded at Orchestra Hall, Chicago, in April 1951.

Cover: EXC, 2” of the bottom seam has been expertly repaired, two marks on back cover (please see photos), shows light shelf wear, minimal foxing on back cover; otherwise, no tears or cutout holes. Glassine inner sleeve with new sleeve provided.  Sent with clear sturdy polyvinyl outer cover.   

Disc: EXC to NM, deep groove, a few faint marks not affecting sound, clean and unmarked labels; vinyl is clear and glossy. Early pressings only available in monaural. MF12/MF12 stampers.
