Audiophile, Music Lover, and Musician      are apt ways describing this loved person who passed away. His record collection, including classical (in the most broad sense), opera, some jazz and popular, was meticulously cared for. The best turntables, styluses, and speakers were always used and brought current, as necessary. The records received attention (they were cleaned prior to and after each playing) that I thought was overdoing it at the time…now I know better, they were kept in beautiful shape…for their next owner, too.

This Unusual Promotional Item released by RCA Victor Red Seal records in 1956, includes an Lp and Illustrated Color 8-page brochure. This Classical Music sampler does not include full musical tracks but does include introductions by the Conductors (or other narrators) themselves. Conductors include Fritz Reiner, Charles Munch, Pierre Monteux, Vladimir Horowitz and Other Luminaries.

Cover: EXC, the item was not sold with a ‘cover’ per se, but is provided with a polyvinyl sleeve to hold the Lp and Brochure. Brochure is EXC to NM, kept safe over the years in excellent condition. 

Disc: NM, vinyl is clear and glossy. Includes original glassine inner sleeve.
